I was observing my little colony of Pill bugs, when I stumbled upon one just sleeping in a hole. So, with a little imagination and some mud from my backyard, Viola! PILL BUG CONDOS!

And yes, those are potatoes that are decaying. don't worry, it's not 'rollie pollie abuse' ... they eat decaying vagetation. :aww: Ain't they just cuuute!

Idea (C) PecanSandy309 (only specifically for pill bugs)

Adorable. Few people realize that they are actually crustaceans. When I was little I'd always let them go because I didn't really know what to feed them. Maybe when I have kids I'll start them out with these and then upgrade them to fish and gerbils if they do a good job. LOL (yes, I will use my future children as an excuse for MORE pets)

That's what I did. I babysit... and I reward them with new pets. They'll get rollie pollies, then if they are extremely good, then it's fiddler crabs, then next I bring over my corn snake, then it's the bearded dragon. :) Kids love it when it's different every time... and since I work with a lot of animals (and I own a bunch of different types) I can bring them and teach them about different animals. They're getting 102 and 104%s in their science classes because they learned many different ideas about animals (cycles, the transferring of energy etc.) They enjoy it. Good luck!
